I suppose I have been a bit spoiled lately, everything I have painted has matched or exceeded my expectations and I have been instantly thrilled. Oh well, I shall push on, I know it won’t always feel like this and the next piece could be a masterpiece!
I hope your expectations have been exceeded in your creative space this week. I shall put on a cuppa and pop by for a look….
I know how you feel... sometimes you just need to go to a cafe with a good book and take the day off!
ReplyDeletehaving a bad week is a bummer ... get out and enjoy yourself, take a break. it will come back.
ReplyDeleteMy Creative Space
i think making is like that. some times it just pops and other days you are not sure. i love it
ReplyDeleteI think it is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteIts ok to have not-so-great days. The awesome days will return! I had a full 3 weeks of awful pots, nearly swore myself off the whole thing but then a new bag of clay fixed everything :) Hope your painting mojo comes back soon!
ReplyDeleteThis painting is really beautiful, great job! :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like when the coral releases the eggs.... or when an ovary releases an egg...
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean - sometimes it really is best not to plan what you are doing!
ReplyDeleteThen it turns out fine! I had grand ideas this week, but when it came down to it - didn't look at all like what i thought!
"Flight" is beautiful! I'm enjoying dropping by your creative space each week to see your lovely work!
ReplyDeleteI think you have done a wonderful job with your painting! Don't be so hard on yourself!
ReplyDeleteLooks beautiful. Can be frustrating when the picturebin your head doesn't quite make it out.
ReplyDeleteThose off days are a pain but maybe something is telling you to take it easy. Love the painting. To me it looks like two hands holding something very delicate and precious.
ReplyDeletethe greens in this are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteit is frustrating when you think you have a great idea and can't quite pull it off ~ but the beauty of it is, the thing you don't think will, turns into an unexpected boon
It looks beatufiul to me, but I understand and know myself the thing you are going through. I went through that myself in the past 2 weeks to be very honest, and i was fearing I had lost "it". 5 reject heads later but I did keep at to get this current head, who i think has potential.
ReplyDeleteKeep going and you will get there I'm sure
xo
i think it's ace almost looks like hands are about to set it free x
ReplyDeleteI know that feeling. Step away for a while and come back with fresh eyes and a fresh mind. Hope todays blogging inspired you a little!
