Oil and imt silver leaf on linen

It’s been a few Mondays since I have shared a painting, so I thought it was about time I got back into the swing of things.

This piece is from the Dusk till Dawn collection a group of paintings that I hope to exhibit together one day.

I applied silver leaf all over the canvas which left an interesting leather like texture. I then painted over the silver, in thin glazes of oil paint, giving the sky depth with delicacy. I was so happy with how the sky and water turned out, that it took me a few weeks to gather the courage to paint the trees in! But I am very happy with how they and all of the rest of the painting turned out.
