It’s time to end the suspense and let you meet Little Tweet Tweet (thanks for the name suggestion Missy Minzy!).
I should have been working on a stone set ring, but this little guy has been floating around in my head since seeing Mitsy’s tutorial for Spring Felt Birds. He’s not quite finished, so I’ll have to spend a bit more time in the silver smithing workshop (what a shame!).
I had Tania from Jet beads make me some lamp work beads as possible feet, but I think I will go with the filigree silver beads from a pair of earrings that were in my jewellery case.
It’s Thursday, my favourite bloggy day, time to head over to Kirsty’s and immerse myself in creativeness from all around the globe.
That turned out amazing! I never would have guessed that a sweet little bird drawing would turn out to be a necklace. I like the look of the little green beads for feet, that bit of colour takes it a long way. Brilliant job!
ReplyDeleteAha! Now that's what you were up to. I agree with the silver feet for this one.

ReplyDeleteMy Creative Place
How stinkin' cute! I love the green feet, myself :)
ReplyDeleteExcuse me, that is SO cute. Not that you need many more opinions but I like the shape of the green feet but the colour of the silver. I'm just a matching kind of person I suppose. Well done Kylie.
ReplyDeleteWell I am biased and will say the green feet since I made them - but I like the silver feet - it gives it a more commercial feel and the green feet when you are feeling quirky!
ReplyDeleteI like both. You could add different colors for different outfits. The green would look good on a frog pendant! Maybe you could make all different animals for another effect.
ReplyDeleteMmmm, I think he looks good without feet personally. But the silver ones are cute too. Always love your creatives spaces Kylie. Told my Mum about the silversmithing class and she is eager to have a go. Might have to book in I think!
ReplyDeleteThat is fantastic. Absolutely gorgeous. I like the lamp work beads best. Wow! So cute.
