 920 x 730mm
Oil and imt silver leaf on linen

It’s been a few Mondays since I have shared a painting, so I thought it was about time I got back into the swing of things.
This piece is from the Dusk till Dawn collection a group of paintings that I hope to exhibit together one day.

I applied silver leaf all over the canvas which left an interesting leather like texture. I then painted over the silver, in thin glazes of oil paint, giving the sky depth with delicacy. I was so happy with how the sky and water turned out, that it took me a few weeks to gather the courage to paint the trees in! But I am very happy with how they and all of the rest of the painting turned out.

  1. Sounds like an interesting technique. Your work turned out well.

  2. Kylie. This is an amazing masterpiece of yours. I have to say this is my first time looking at the technique. It turned out to be v stunning!

Please send an invitation to me when you having your next exhibition. I want to be there! :)

  3. Ooh yes I've seen this one in person, it is amazing. Keep sharing please!!

Thanks for dropping by and for leaving me a comment. It brightens my day!
