F is for and Flickr and Facebook on this Fabulous Friday……

I’m branching out on to Facebook and Flickr. I figured I might as well go the whole hog with this social media gig! I joined Flickr to add my pin cushion to the group and it just rolled on from there. I still have setting up and tweaking to do on both, but if you want to jump in on the ground floor feel free to pop by and check out what I have done so far.
I have just about maxed out my monthly down loads on Flickr already, so I will have to wait until next month to add more artwork!  But there are lots loaded already, along with some of my favourite photos.
If you have any tips of things to do or groups to join on either of these sites to help me make to most of it please let me know. If you want to “like” me over at Facebook  (they have decided to move away from the “fan” term) I’d love to have your company over there too.

I hope you have a fabulous Friday.

  3. I've been contemplating getting more into Flickr lately too :-) I use Facebook in a completley different way - it's mainly about real life friends and I update about more personal/day to day stuff rather than creativity. I often post a link to new blog posts though - so friends can see what I've been making

  4. Hmm, now here's where I have opinions. 1) FB, not loving it, just seems like a time-waster without many benefits; 2) FLickr. I find it totally unreliable, Just go to the Flickr help site if you want an idea of what goes wrong. The biggest issue I have is that when you sign up, you're not advised that after you enter 200 (I think?) pics, you can't see the oldest ones until you buy some sort of package to get them back again. You know I'm a techno-phobe, so that could be why I'm so cynical and have so many problems. : )

  5. I joined flickr to participate in a swap, and used it a lot at first, then just forgot to add photos! Recently when I did get round to adding more photos, I got a message to say I had almost reached my limit, and would have to pay, or not see older photos (as happened to cuggles kids). As for Facebook, that whole thing has passed me by - maybe I'm just too old for that one!!
