While scribbling in my sketch book of nothing in the afternoon sun, this striking shadow presented itself on a crisp white page.
I was taken by the beauty and the rhythm and had to take a break form sketching to capture my shadow shot for the week.
It’s time to chase shadows around the globe again with the help of Hey Harriet’s Shadow Shot Sunday. Pop over and take a look around, perhaps even join in. But be warned chasing shadows is addictive and will change the way you look at the world….

Excellent shadows! A spiral-bound notebook is something we use for work or other formal duties. Here, though, the arcs spiral around like a coil spring. The shadows are elegant and artistic. A lovely look!
ReplyDeleteAnd what a great shadow shot it is, Kylie! I love it when that happens! This is so sharp and clear! Cool! Hope your weekend is going well!

Wow, great images. And when you think of it, the most surprising things are just in front of our eyes all the time.
ReplyDeleteReminds me of sunny afternoons at school...
Have a great Sunday!
Great shots. Like Anka my first thoughts were of school.
ReplyDeleteGreat shots as always!
ReplyDeleteThis is stunning. It reminds me of those shadowy scenes in 1940's movies? So glad you stopped sketching to capture this shot.
ReplyDeleteSweet shadowy spirals! I was just again looking at some of your art in your shop and LOVE the Andy's Chair painting!!! I'm guessing the Warhol exhibition you mentioned was the one in Brisbane a couple of years back? Wasn't it fantastic!?! Was difficult to walk away from there and not be inspired in some creative way! Hope your Sunday has been good :)
