My felt slippers are almost done. I had no idea wool felting a pair of slippers would be so physical. I ache all over, but I am so happy with how my slippers are shaping up. They need more rubbing with soapy water and massaging onto my feet so they shrink down to fit me perfectly. I sure am going to have toasty warm, stylish toes when winter arrives!

I know it’s a bit unlikely, being that I live in sunny Queensland AND it is summer, but a girls got to think ahead! I am attending a felt slipper making workshop tomorrow, so when the cold weather kicks in my feet will be stylish and warm in a cosy and unique pair of slippers.

After another productive day spent at Rod Art Studio I now have a one of a kind, sterling silver, hand made pendant.
It’s great spending some of my creative time in Rod’s space.
I am learning so much and his space is so much more organised and neat than mine!

Last week this little slice of Aussie bush became ours.
So this week my creative space is an unusual one for me, it’s not a painting or jewellery, or even a photo; it’s creating our dream home!
We had a very positive meeting with a builder yesterday; so the journey now feels real and I can leap into this huge, inspiring and exciting project.
It has similarities to starting a painting, colour, texture, composition; they are all things I am familiar with, just on a new “canvas”.
For now it’s mostly in my head (and a big folder of ideas and images) so to check out some more tangible creative spaces head over to Kooyotoo and see what the productive creative folk are up to this week!

Just a couple this time. I have hundreds more, but I am tight on sorting and editing time at the moment, so I shall just pop some up when I get the chance.
While our camping adventure is becoming just a fantastic memory life still hasn’t returned to anything like "normal" around here!

The creative space I want to share with you this week is actually Rod Art’s Studio, not my own.
I’m also thinking ahead to the next class and wondering about designs for a stone set ring! I am loving this journey and am constantly amazed that I have ended up here, who knew I would make jewellery?
I certainly didn’t see it in my future, but I am so glad that I am, it is so rewarding and it is great to be learning new things.
Check our lots of other creative spaces over at Kootoyoo.
